How is a commercial solar system sized?

Sizing should consider interval or monthly consumption, daytime load, tariff, sanctioned load, roof area, shading, export rules, operating schedule, and future demand. Roof area alone is not enough.

Can solar power the business during a grid outage?

A standard on-grid system normally shuts down when the grid fails. Backup requires a deliberately designed hybrid, battery, or compatible microgrid arrangement and a separate review of critical loads and controls.

Can solar be installed on a metal roof?

Often yes, but the roof profile, age, structural capacity, corrosion, fastening method, waterproofing, warranty, skylights, and safe access must be assessed before design.

Does commercial solar receive the residential rooftop subsidy?
